Basic Features:
- Initiate phone calls with your PBX phone directly from Communicator 2005, or Outlook.
- Forward your PBX phone automatically, based on where you are.
- Access phone features from Communicator 2005.
- See pop-up notifications for incoming calls. With a mouse click, either answer the call or divert the call to another number.
Communicator 2005 is an integrated communications client, enabling information workers to communicate in real-time.
In addition to call control, the Unified Call Control Gateway can also perform the role as a SIP proxy, allowing for Communicator 2005 to act as a softphone and place calls through the PBX.
Additional Fetures:
- TCP <-> UDP SIP Proxy - Allows PC to Phone calls from Communicator 2005 without the need for additional software (ie. SER)
- SIP URI normalization - Converts sip: or tel: URI's to Asterisk® extensions. Also allows for proper caller id presentation for PC to internal extension calls.
- e.164 support - Full support for the e.164 numbering standard
Extended Features*:
- Turn phone speaker on/off from Communicator 2005.
- Hold and retrieve calls with the click of a mouse.
Currently only TCP and UDP protocols are supported, TLS will be implemented in a future release. PBX devices that can be monitored are limited to either SIP or ZAP channels. Asterisk® 1.4 beta is not currently supported.
