Unified Call Control Gateway

The telephone is a key form of communications in the enterprise. Now, M-Networks helps bridge the gap between the PC and the PBX with the Unified Call Control Gateway. The M-Networks Unified Call Control Gateway provides remote call control and PC to Phone integration for Microsoft® Live Communications and your Asterisk® PBX.

An evaluation version of the M-Networks Unified Call Control Gateway is currently available. To learn more about the evaluation or to download a copy today click here.

Highlights:

  • Integration - Connect Microsoft® Live Communications Server with your Asterisk® PBX.
  • Remote Call Control - Place calls, deflect calls, forward calls from Office Communicator.
  • Incoming Call Notifications - See who's calling and deflect to an alternate number.
  • PC to Phone Proxy - Use Office Communicator as a softphone to place calls through Asterisk®.

The M-Networks Unified Call Control Gateway runs silently in the background as a Windows® service processing CSTA requests from Office Communicator to control your Asterisk® PBX.

In environments using Cisco® 7900 series IP phones the gateway supports extended functionality such as turning the phone speaker on/off as well as call hold capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Microsoft® Live Communications Server 2005 (with Service Pack 1)
  • Asterisk® PBX (1.2 or later)
  • Computer running Microsoft® Windows® XP or Windows® Server 2003

Currently only TCP and UDP protocols are supported, TLS will be implemented in a future release. PBX devices that can be monitored are limited to either SIP or ZAP channels. Asterisk® 1.4 beta is not currently supported.
