M-Networks Fulfills Need With New Release for LCS
Bloomfield, NJ, Jan. 05, 2007 - M-Networks has released their second software solution in as many months with a package that brings IM capability to businesses running Microsoft Live Communication Server. The Public IM Connectivity Server, PICS for short, provides small and mid-sized businesses that have a need to communicate via instant message with a cost effective solution that allows IM conversations through LCS without using the client programs of IM networks providers.
"Organizations who employ LCS are currently unable to integrate IM capability in the Live Communications Server unless they are a Microsoft volume license customer" said Bill Mandra, President and Chief Software Developer of M-Networks. "This software now provides an affordable option to business who desire IM capability but are hesitant to use the client software provided by IM providers."
The new release of PICS is not for everyone explains Mikael Carlson, VP of Operations for M-Networks. "Companies who are currently Microsoft volume license customers are strongly encouraged to explore a solution through Microsoft for their IM needs. While being such a customer does not preclude them from using our software, there are features and benefits to using their IM solution that may be more advantageous to larger businesses."
For customers wary of the technical expertise needed to employ the Public IM Connectivity Server, PICS is easy to install and configure and is backed by free technical support by the M-Networks Support Group provided the customer is a valid license holder of the software.
The M-Networks Public IM Connectivity Server can currently communicate with IM network providers AOL and MSN, with plans to support other networks with a release in early 2007. Organizations interested in using PICS with other IM providers on a more immediate basis can contact M-Networks and inquire about their software developers kit.
The Public IM Connectivity Server can be downloaded from the M-Networks website at www.m-networks.com and is available for US $499. A fifteen day trial package is also available for download and can be easily converted to the full release without additional installation with the purchase of a product key.
